BASEBALL
Crestview 10, Brookfield 6 — The Rebels piled it on early, plating seven runs in the first two innings to topple the Warriors. Luke Julian picked up the win on the mound, throwing four innings while giving up five hits, six walks and striking out four. Brayden Devine recorded three hits, Zachary Davis added two hits, Isaac Unkefer and Kyle Booth doubled and Jayden Kimble drove in three runs. Hunter Warrender was given the loss after throwing 1 2/3 innings, giving up six hits, five walks and striking out three. At the dish, Bray Coleman singled twice and drove in four runs while Devan Reardon and Bryan Reardon each collected two hits.
Louisville 4, Canfield 1 — Monday’s contest was decided after the Leopards plated three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to get past the Cardinals. Aljancic picked up the win for Louisville, throwing three innings surrendering three hits, one walk and fanning three. The Leopards were led offensively by Zander Tripplett with a double and single and Kaden Kortis with a pair of hits and RBIs. Jackson Johnson is credited with the loss, throwing an inning of relief, giving up two hits, two walks and striking out one. Anthony Groner was a bright spot for the Canfield offense, belting a solo home run and a single.
GlenOak 4, Ursuline 3 — Three late runs were too little too late for the Fighting Irish as the Golden Eagles claimed the contest Monday. John Hamilton picked up the win for GlenOak, throwing three hitless innings and walking and striking out three. Offensively, Mason Olbon doubled and Bryce Broom tripled to lead the Golden Eagles. Dom Polkovitch was given the loss, throwing a complete game, giving up six hits, two walks and striking out three.
Girard 12, Niles 1 (5 inn.) — The Girard bats were on fire early as the Indians jumped out to an early lead and kept it up to down the Red Dragons. Leading the Girard attack was Will Hynes with a double, triple and three RBIs. Dominick Tolone added a pair of hits, and Ja’den Royal and Zach Ward each drove in two runs. Picking up the win on the mound was Ricky Plant, who tossed five innings, striking out three while only giving up four hits and a walk. For Niles, Brady Court was given the loss after allowing five hits and walks, striking out one through three innings.
East 10, Badger 9 — No statistics for either team were submitted.

SOFTBALL
Crestview 10, Brookfield 7 — The Rebels added some insurance runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to top the Warriors Monday. Earning the win in the circle was Makayla Mckee, who threw five innings and allowed four hits, one walk and struck out five. Offensively for Crestview, Brenna Figley collected two hits, Alivia Shetler tripled, singled and drove in three runs and Chloe Stoops doubled. Madison Obermiyer picked up the loss for Brookfield, tossing six innings while giving up eight hits, five walks and striking out two. At the plate, Obermiyer doubled and drove in two runs, and Madisyn Fisher and Mya Jumper both recorded two hits.
Fitch 15, Howland 13 — The first inning was a sign of things to come as both teams combined for 11 runs. The Falcons claimed the shootout over the Tigers, plating six runs in the bottom of the fifth inning. Tori Greathouse earned the win on the rubber, throwing 4 2/3 innings in relief, surrendering four hits and two walks. Samantha Severn tallied three hits for Fitch, Kaliana Ray drove in two runs on three hits, Alyssa Rodgers doubled and singled, Abby Toth doubled, singled and drove in three, Seneca Coates slapped two hits and drove in three and Rachel Spalding collected a pair of hits. Picking up the loss for Howland was Brooke Tatar. She threw 4 2/3 innings and allowed 15 hits, six walks and fanned four. Madison Schmitz recorded two hits, Mary Moy singled and tripled, Tatar homered, singled and drove in three runs, Maya Kubancsek singled, homered and drove in two and Tabitha Schlatt doubled, singled twice and tallied three RBIs.
Girard 15, Niles 0 (3 inn.) — The Girard offense exploded for 10 runs in the top of the first inning and set the tone in the dominant win over the Red Dragons. At the plate, Gianna Saxon led the Indians with two doubles, a single and four RBIs, Brooklyn Broll doubled and singled and Caylee Wilkes drove in a pair of RBIs and doubled. In the circle, Chloe Plant was perfect through three innings while fanning six. Ari Jones was given the loss for Niles, picking up five strikeouts.
Cardinal Mooney 20, St. Thomas Aquinas 2 (5 inn.) — The Cardinals dominated the Knights thanks to a nine-run opening frame. Mooney was led by Gracie Rinaldi with four hits and three RBIs, Angela Betura slapped four hits, Sam Rotunno and Ruhmiya each had a trio of hits and Delaney Olesh and Julia Ramos both lent two hits. Ramos also picked up the win, fanning eight and allowing two free passes.
